Clay City - Patricia "Pat" Brake, 89, of Clay City, passed away Monday, May 12, 2025 at Axiom Gardens of Flora with her family by her side.

She was born in Iuka, Illinois on January 19, 1936 to Virgil Cleo Bradley and Mary (Linder) Bradley. She married Harold R. Brake on January 22, 1956 at Barr Christian Church and he preceded her in death on March 12, 2012.

Pat is survived by a son, Keith Brake and wife Sondra of Clay City; a sister, Betty Lorance of Louisville; grandchildren, Charlie Brake and wife Jessica of Clay City, Adam Moseley and wife Tiffany of Martinsville, IL, Crystal Lewis and husband Myles of Flora, Dustin Moseley and wife Brittany of Sumner, Deanna Brake of Clay City, Zachary Brake and Lucretia Halfacre of Missouri; great-grandchildren, Payton Brake, Katelynn Brake, Olivia Moseley, Ben Moseley, Dawson Lewis, Dustin Moseley Jr, Mason Moseley, Gracie Moseley and Bryson Taylor; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Brake was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Mary Bradley, her husband, Harold Brake; a son, Tommy Lee Brake; and two infant daughters.

She truly enjoyed quilting and was a member of the Zion Hill Baptist Church.

Funeral services for Pat Brake will be held on Monday, May 19th at 1:00pm at Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia with Pastor Donnie Schaefer officiating. Visitation will be held that same day, Monday, May 19th from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia.
